Amy's Wedding: Venue & Details

There is a little warehouse space in Downtown Phoenix owned by three photographers and a painter. They named it after a failed amusement park, and have been doing their thing for years. It is a beautiful and open white canvas.... and after an unfortunate string of events, it became our wedding venue. 

The unfortunateness had nothing to do with Legend City Studios. They were amazing and within a matter of two days they solved a crisis that might have had other brides running for a quick elopement in Vegas. 

Earl might be the only reason I didn't pack up the car myself.

When we talked to Randy (the painter) he asked if we wanted the art that graced their walls taken down. And we both said no in unison. It was one of those little details that made the space all the more special.

 Please not the guys were AMAZING about helping to get the decor set up.

 Yes, this next picture is of a spray painted bull. I am a farm girl, that will NEVER change.

Overall, I could not be happier with  the venue. The guys were so wonderful to work with and it provided a perfect, intimate wedding space that I know we will remember fondly for the rest of our lives.

Amy's Wedding: Guy's Gussied Up

The gentlemen met up at the Hotel Palomar downtown to get ready and raz on Earl. I don't know the details.... and so, this post is more pictures than anything else.

Amy's Wedding: Girl's Getting Prettier (because we were gorgeous to begin with)

There is a place in Phoenix I go quite often. It's a darling little salon smooshed in between a Pita Jungle and a Lola Coffee on Roosevelt. Salon Ro5 is where I get my unruly hair dealt with, and over the last year, I've become friends with the owners. So, when it came time to decide about getting ready before the wedding, I there was no place else I thought of.

The girls and I carted our things over to the salon where we primped, and drank champagne, and laughed and did all manner of things as the wonderful stylists and makeup artists worked their magic.

Katie and Natalie were the life of that morning's particular party. ( I seriously love these girls more than I'd ever imagined possible)

 The mom's got in on the beautifying too (Earl's mom not pictured)

I'm so thankful to have met Mark and Noah, They are two wonderful men who make me smile at the mere mention of their names.

Amy's Wedding! Part One

On March 29th, 2014, Earl and I tied that proverbial knot.
Joined by some of our closest family and friends, I wore black, Earl wore chucks, and we attempted to carry off an event that was more party than wedding.

I think we managed it. And starting next week, I'll be telling you all about it, bit by bit. Be prepared for a lot of photos, and silly faces - because that's how we roll.
